Peter answers the Liberty Candidate questions below:

I) Re. the U.S. Financial System:
What is your view of the monetary system in the U.S. today?

Just like the Romans… inflate the money to fund the war efforts.

What corrective actions could we take right now to improve the economy?  Cut spending by at least 50%.  End whole departments.  Let the free market handle the economy.

Do you agree with the actions the Federal Reserve has taken to solve the financial crisis? If not, what could the Fed have done differently?

The best thing the fed could have done would be to close its doors and go home.

Should the Federal Reserve be audited fully, no secrets, or does it need to keep some information under wraps?

What Federal Reserve?  You mean that illegal cartel of banks?

II) Re. Foreign Policy:
What is your opinion on current US foreign policy?

If China rolled up into the Gulf of Mexico, I’d feel sorry for the Chinese.   I can’t expect any nation to meekly accept occupation, no matter what the intention of the people that sent the soldiers.  Without condoning what they’ve done, I believe that we have at least in part, brought this on ourselves.  The road to hell is paved with good intentions.  Hopefully we’ll learn from this as a nation, but I doubt it.

How should we fight a “war on terror”?

Intelligence gathering (in cooperation with the sovereign host nations) and by ending all of our occupations.  Let the world know we’re serious.  We’re pulling back and we’re going to mind our own business…  but don’t even think of attacking us… ever again.

Should the U.S. occupy other countries? If not, would you push to close all bases? Are there any you would keep open?

Close ALL foreign bases.

Should the U.S. maintain its standing army?

Yes.  Defense is one of the few legitimate functions of government.

Is the Patriot Act necessary to protect America? If not, would you vote to repeal it?

REPEAL NOW!

III) Re. Personal Liberty:
What information may the U.S. government legally gather about its citizens? When would it be necessary to overstep those boundaries?

What limits, if any, should be placed on the U.S. government’s ability to search its citizens without a warrant?

Never.  Judges have cell phones.

Ought the U.S. government be allowed to protect its citizens’ health by outlawing foods it considers unsafe, or to force medicate (i.e., fluoridation) or force vaccinate citizens?

End the FDA!

What controls, if any, should be placed on the right to own a gun? Is there an effective way to keep guns out of the hands of madmen and criminals without encroaching on the rights of free, law-abiding citizens?

Yes – well aimed shots.  Short of that, no.   I support both concealed and open carry.

IV) Re. U.S. Sovereignty:
Is our involvement in and subjugation to global organizations, such as WHO, NATO, the UN, etc., a benefit to U.S. citizens?

NO!  We should exit all of these organizations.

Would you work to repeal international agreements that purport to hold U.S. citizens and/or property under its jurisdiction, or do you think there might be times when benefits outweigh concessions?

NO!  Didn’t we fight a war to prevent taxation without representation?

Are trade agreements with other nations, i.e., NAFTA, CAFTA, good for U.S. citizens?

Free Trade makes everyone better off.

Should the U.S. give foreign aid to other countries? If yes, for what purposes would it be justified? If not all countries, which would you continue to support?

No, with the possible exception of Israel.  They’re so small and surrounded by people who indoctrinate their kids to hate the Jews.  I really hate having exceptions, but this might qualify.  I think I’d rather help them out a little with money now than send our troops there the next time they get invaded.

V) Re. State Sovereignty:
When does state law take precedent over federal law?

10th Amendment says always, unless the constitution specifically grants a power to the federal gov.

Would you stand up to the federal government and demand that it stay within the bounds of its enumerated powers and out of state business?

Just give me the chance!

Do federal officers have the right to arrest non-military citizens within the individual states for any crimes?

Hmmm…. I’m not all that familiar with this – maybe you can send me some links and I’ll read up on it.

VI) Illegal Immigration:
What do you see as the #1 problem with illegal immigration?

The entire system is broken –it’s so hard to pick one…  I guess the worst part is having them come here and take advantage of all of our illegal welfare & social programs.

What actions could we take to stop illegal immigrants from taking advantage of social services?

Get rid of the social services and welfare programs.  I don’t see anything in the constitution that authorizes theft and redistribution of wealth.  We could also streamline the path to citizenship… What a complete mess it is.  Immigration is good, illegal immigration is bad.  Preventing hard working people from coming here is just stupid.

VII) Misc. Questions:
If you could make one amendment to the U.S. Constitution, what would it be?

End the ability for the Federal government to borrow money.  A BBA might be okay, but it’s too easy to ignore it, just like the states have.  If lenders have no legal basis to collect money they have lent to the government, they would not be so quick to risk their money.  This would also effectively end the power and abuse of the federal reserve cartel.

Would you vote to end government subsidies to private industry?

Absolutely!

What should our government’s action be against Julian Assange, if any?

I don’t think he should have released sensitive information that puts our troops and agents in danger, but we really shouldn’t be there anyways, and the government has waaaay too many secrets.  Leave him alone unless someone was clearly injured as a direct result of his release of information… Then treat it as a crime to the extent of the injury.  Unless they want to arrest him for his bad dancing…  apparently the feds do arrest people for dancing now.

Do you know what Agenda 21/Sustainable Development and the Communitarian agenda is? Do you support it? Why or why not?

I am strongly opposed to this incredible attack on our freedom!
